Bolivia has probably produced more tin than any other country in the world, with the great tin mines at Viloco (sometimes called Araca) having produced some of the best Cassiterite specimens known. This piece consists of a rich plate composed almost entirely of superb and sharp Cassiterites up to 1.5 cm in size. These crystals are highly lustrous and mirror bright, black you would think but really gemmy and a gorgeous honey brown when backlit, with several nice Quartz crystals for accent. This very attractive piece is one of the better ones for quality, luster and crystal size that I've seen in recent years. It is in excellent shape and overall it is a great display specimen. This classic material from Viloco is simply not seen for sale in today's market anymore. valued $1200-1500
