Item Description

Some of the most distinctive specimens of cassiterite and aquamarine have come from this locality but they are actually quite rare in combination with one another, usually occurring on separate specimens. This piece features several very sharp, lustrous, jet-black twins of cassiterite measuring up to 1.5 cm which are perched atop gem quality, very pale blue color, unusually tabular hexagonal crystals of aquamarine. There are also small, gemmy scheelite crystals hiding in muscovite clusters. Ex. Jingnan (Tom) Zhang Coll. It is exquisite for this association.
