Sharp cassiterite crystals to just under 1 cm, with unusual quality in terms of condition and luster, make this a significant thumbnail specimen for the collector of cassiterite or of English minerals. They seldom survive so sharp, and are generally from the 1800s or early 1900s era of mining here.
