A nice display specimen featuring sharp, lustrous, very well-formed, black cyclic twinned crystals of Cassiterite with minor Muscovite. The largest Cassiterite twin measures 1.2 cm across. Panasqueira produced some of the most impressive and attractive Cassiterites, though they are seldom seen these days. Pieces like this remind collectors that it is becoming increasingly difficult to obtain good specimens from this now defunct locality. A good looking piece for a "black rock".
