A beautiful, art-in-stone sculpture of a life-like hippopotamus expertly carved from totally limpid quartz. The detailing on the neck and head are particulary noteworthy. High quality quartz from the Polar Urals, and carving from Russia. We dont usually offer carvings, but the quality was so high, we couldnt resist buying this from a Russian dealer with a lot of minerals selected.
