Carrollite with Spherocobaltite

Item Description

A classic and colorful association specimen from the Kambove Principal Mine in DR Congo. A group of very lustrous, metallic, bright silvery color, well-formed octahedra (with minor cubic modifications) of Carrollite measuring up to 1.1 cm are sitting on blocky rhombic white Calcite matrix with a thin layer of electric fuchsia Spherocobaltite for a nice touch. The Carrollite crystals are fine quality, but they are contacted on the side / back, but you can't see it from the display side of the specimen. I love the arrangement and overall showiness of the piece, and the touch of color from the Spherocobaltite really round it out. Priced at $800 in the inventory.
