Item Description
A pristine, splendent, silver-metallic, 1.5 x 1.3 x 1.2 cm, highly modified carrollite octahedron is fantastically set in vug atop a large calcite cleavage. Some of the faces have surreal cubic growth, adding real pizzazz. Bruised sections of iridescent chalcopyrite crystals dramatically frame the walls of the vug and the carrollite. These were instantly recognized as the world's finest examples of the species, when they came out over 10 years ago. This is a most excellent and aesthetic matrix example of the find. Little has come out since. Here's your chance to get a very fine matrix small cabinet of this rare copper, cobalt, nickel sulfide at a reasonable price point. Valued at $1000.
