Item Description
A large, metallic gray Carrollite crystal dominates this miniature from the Kamoya II copper-cobalt mine. The Carrollite crystal measures 1.9cm in maximum dimension and the form is dominated by the cube with octahedral modifications. The luster is good and is not as bright as most only because all of the cubic crystal faces exhibit a multitude of growth hillocks for added interest! The host sedimentary rock serves as the matrix and contains minor "spots" of Pyrite and Chalcopyrite. Accompanied by The Rocksmiths label to date it from the older finds. MATRIX specimens are uncommon ! This is a fantastic miniature. Valued $1000-1250
