Item Description

When these new Carrollite specimens were first found about 5-6 years ago, they were instantly regarded as the best of species ever found. Some of the largest, sharpest, most impressive crystals of this rare copper, cobalt, nickel sulfide came out of this find. This particular features hosts a fine, sharp, well formed, lustrous, silvery color, cube with minor octahedral modifications measuring 5 mm with minor Chalcopyrite on white/grey Calcite matrix. Crystals of Carrollite on matrix are less common in my experience. These pieces seemed to have dried up quickly, and I don't know if more will be found. A great opportunity to snag to nice matrix specimen of Carrollite for a great price.
