Textbook Carlsbad-twinned orthclase crystals are extraordinarilly RARE from this famous open pit copper mine. In fact, ANY orthoclase crystals are rare! This striking grayish-tan crystal has moderate luster. Three corners are bruised, but this remains an outstanding rarity from this famous locale. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and probably collected in an old upper level in the late 1940s or early 1950s, according to Bob's label. A MUST for the locality or species collector.
