Item Description

Carletonite, a very complex silicate with carbonate, is UNIQUE to the Poudrette Quarry. It is a Holy Grail species to this world-class deposit, which has produced many other unique to the locale species. The classic rich royal-blue color, lustre and translucence highlight this fine subhedral crystal. Complete all-around with one face being cleaved and the rest contacted or grown against surrounding matrix, as is typical. These came out in the late 1990s.
