Carletonite (Type Locality)

Carletonite is one of the great classics of the locality. Mount Saint-Hilaire is one of the world's most significant localities, and produces many "best in the world" specimens of a lot of minerals, including killer carletonites (unique to here). This glassy, translucent piece is an attractive bi-color tetragonal crystal showing a rich blue "core" with a colorless "rind". The notch on the back adds pizzazz. Valued at $450 for rarity and quality.
