Item Description

Beautiful turquoise-blue caledonite microcrystals richly cover the sculptural miniature matrix and are nicely accented with contrasting tiny colorless, glassy fluorite cubes on this colorful and excellent combination specimen from the famous locale. Old classic material, as this mine was in production in the late 1940s and early 1950s. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 10768. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record).
