Item Description

A rich two-sided combination piece from this well-known California locale. Bright azure-blue linarite crystal patches are nicely complimented by crusts of turquoise-blue caledonite on the other half of the specimen (the crystals are flat, but complete and in plenty!). Caledonite is a rare copper, lead sulfate. Old material, as this mine was in production in the late 1940s and early 1950s. Ex. Bob Trimingham Collection and purchased from David New in 1982. This is an extremely rich, showy, example of both species. valued $400
