Calderite/Spessartine (TL)

Item Description

Beautiful, very rich specimen of the rare garnet Calderite. The grains, which run throughout the specimen, are very gemmy and a beautiful blood red. The luster, as you would expect, is incredibly glassy. The larger grains average about 1 cm across, and are massive but with gemmy areas. In its own way, quite attractive, and when you factor in the rarity, quite desirable. Charlie got this over 20 years ago.
