Item Description

Mineral specimens of ANY species are ultra-rare from Washakie County. This dramatic, very sculptural piece is peppered with translucent, lustrous, amber calcite crystals on an unusual brecciated matrix, that is TOTALLY covered with tiny calcite scalenohedrons. The impressive large calcite is 3.7 cm tall. Tiny pyrite pyritohedrons sprinkled about are very nifty accent. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only very trivial calcite crystal bruising, one broken calcite crystal and one apparent point of attachment. This is an unusually fine and rare 360-degree combination specimen from the Bob Trimingham Collection. Old-time material according to Bob's label. Every turn presents a strikingly different perspective! Perhaps unique?! Value of such a rarity to the locality or species collector?
