Calcite with Sphalerite

This long storied historic U.S. locality has produced some of the world's finest Calcite and Fluorite specimens extant. Despite the fact that there are only a handful of minerals found at the Elmwood mine, some of them are among the most recognizable minerals in the world. This miniature sized piece hosts a beautiful 4.6 cm pale golden crystal of Calcite with minor "ruby jack" Sphalerite crystals. This piece is virtually undamaged, save one small blemish to the Calcite. These pieces are well known classics from the U.S. and this one really has it all from the standpoint of quality, size and displayability.
