Calcite with Quartz and Pyrite

This is just a unique and lovely cabinet piece from old finds at Cavnic dominated by relatively large, almost rosette-like clusters of Calcite on a sparkly matrix of Quartz and Pyrite. The pale rose Calcite blades are very thin, from 1.5 to 2 cm and broad, from 2 to over 4 cm across and they display a beautiful pearly luster! They are loosely intersecting forming almost flower petal like clusters on the top of a myriad of 0.5 to 1.5 cm, clear, glistening Quartz crystals and numerous, 0.5 to 1 cm, bright, brassy Pyrite cubes, some of which exhibit an orange iridescence. This piece is just beautifully composed and displays wonderfully. Calcite clusters like this from Cavnik are few and far between and came out in the 1990s or early 2000s!
