Item Description

The remote Nanisivik Iron Mine is above the Arctic Circle on Baffin Island and is one of the most remote and inhospitable mining locations on earth. The mine closed in 2002. This aesthetic association thumbnail is highlighted by the semi-lustrous translucent, amber Calcite crystals with sparkling crystals of Pyrite on the back. Good quality and no real damage to speak of on the display side. Ex Jim Robison carbonate collection.
