Item Description

A dramatic cluster of stout, glassy, translucent, extremely sharp, pseudohexagonal, "pokerchip", calcite crystals from the famed Nikolaevskiy Mine at Dalnegorsk. The prism faces have stunning preferential bands and rich dustings of sparkly, pyrite microcrystals, along with frosted faces. The striking "chips" reach 4.7 cm and have only trivial scattered edge wear. Very uncommon and exceptionally fine calcite from this noted locale from the Daniel Trinchillo Senior Collection. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!
