Item Description

An attractive association specimen from the San Martín Mine in Zacatecas, Mexico featuring translucent, off-white colored scalenohedral crystal groups of Calcite measuring up to 2.3 cm, associated with sharp, well-formed, lustrous, soft golden colored metallic Pyrite crystals measuring up to 7 mm underneath. A bit of iron oxide coating gives the piece a slight addition of soft orange color. No major damage, and very eye-catching, especially because the piece sits quite nicely on its own without the aid of a base or clay. Older material for sure, from at least a few decades ago.
