Calcite with Pyrite

Item Description

Sharp and well formed thin hexagonal Calcite crystals of a translucent white color that are positioned vertically creating an interconnected boxwork pattern rising up off of the matrix. The central large crystal measures 4.9 cm across. The well defined zoning layers seen in the Calcites are accented by a fine dusting of glittering golden Pyrite, a classic combination from numerous Chenzhou mines over many years - though all of subtly different styles! The piece is in great condition with only minor periphery contacting. An outstanding three dimensional specimen with great crystal isolation, form, and an aesthetic golden glow! Ex.
