Calcite with "phantom"

A classic and hard to find small cabinet / large miniature display specimen from the Belmont Quary in Virginia featuring a sharp, very well-formed, gemmy, fine soft golden color rhombic crystal of Calcite with a notable and distinct internal scalenohedral / "dogtooth" habit "phantom". Minor Pyrite creates a slight edge to distinguish the phantom inside the rhomb, and a slight amount of Pyrite can be seen on the external faces of the rhomb. If you collect Calcites, if you're a student of crystal morphology, or you collect Virginia minerals, don't miss out on this one. Great shape on the display side, obviously contacted on the bottom where it detached from the pocket.
