Calcite with oriented Pyrite inclusions

Art in stone. Sparkling, oriented inclusions of pyrite microcrystals form elegant "Mercedes stars" in the two intergrown glassy calcite crystals. A bit of modest bruising is noted on these striking translucent, pseudohexagonal crystals, but certainly nothing to detraction. A very showy and unusual CABINET specimen from recent finds in China.
