Calcite with Mimetite

The Santa Eulalia District in Mexico for many years has produced beautiful crystallized specimens of various species, often in good sized display quality examples. This piece is a showy small cabinet featuring highly reflective, vitreous, modified, blocky, off-white colored crystals of Calcite measuring up to 2.1 cm, associated with small yellow prismatic crystals of Mimetite, some forming semi-radial groups, on oxidized matrix. The There is a slight reddish-brown hue that can be seen in some of the Calcite crystals, due to iron oxide inclusions, for an added touch of color. No major damage I can see, and the piece displays quite nicely as you can see from the video.
