Calcite with Marcasite and/or Chalcopyrite (rare locality) (ex Harold Urish Collection)

Item Description

Not a very common sight to a Calcite from the lesser known Fogle Quarry in Kansas. This particular large miniature / small cabinet sized specimen features sharp, gemmy, lustrous, excellent rhombic Calcite with brownish iridescent surface colration with scattered micro Chalcopyrite and/or Marcasite crystals. The Calcite fluoresces orange underultra violet light below the level of the iridescence.
