Item Description
A beautiful and classic specimen of the famous Brushy Creek Calcites featuring a predominant, gemmy, doubly-terminated, eye-catching smoky and golden colored, vitreous scalenohedral crystal associated with minor sparkling rainbow iridescent Chalcopyrite on matrix. A few smaller Calcites can be seen, but he largest Calcite crystal measures 7.2 cm long. No real damage that I can see (with the exception of the back where the piece was removed from the pocket wall), and the specimen is highly displayable and three-dimensional. Classic material, that was at one point fairly plentiful on the market, but is now rather hard to find.
Ex Les Presmyk / De Natura specimen.
