Item Description

A beautiful classic association specimen featuring very sharp and well-formed, chalk-white colored rhombs of Calcite measuring up to 2.1 cm which are associated with thin, gemmy, colorless to reddish-brown crystals of Hemimorphite measuring up to 8 mm with minor areas of pale yellow Mimetite. No damage that I can see with the naked eye on the display side. Great balance, aesthetics and arrangement, and this material is rarely available on the market. A great piece for a collection of Mexican minerals or to add to a suite of specimens specifically from Ojuela. Valued at $750. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#5765). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017).
