Calcite with Hematite inclusions

An interesting and attractive display specimen of Calcite with pinkish Hematite inclusions from Stambaugh, Michigan. I almost mistook the piece for a cobaltoan Smithsonite at first glance. Honestly, I havent' seen one of these specimens before, and were it not for the previous dealer's label, I don't know if anybody would have been able to identify the locality. Sharp, pearly / lustrous, rhombic crystals of Calcite up 5 mm coat the underlying matrix. No real damage that I can see outside of the periphery where it was removed from the pocket wall. There seems to be a bit of dark reddish-brown specular Hematite on the side of the Calcites as well.
