Item Description

Classic and sculptural mounded small cabinet plate of glassy and lustrous, transparent to translucent, colorless to rich variable reddish-brown hematite-included calcite rhombohedrons from the famous Potosi Mine at Santa Eulalia. The large complex doubly terminated rhomb is 4.8 cm across. The larger rhombs rest on an earlier generation of tiny, sparkly hematite-included dogtooth calcite crystals, adding allure. Ex De Natura (Les Presmyk) dealer stock. A fine, very showy, pristine and highly representative two-generation example of the calcite style from this noted locale
