Calcite with Hematite and Duftite (Belsky Coll.)

Water-clear, glassy, calcite disks are preferentially included and coated with hematite and also preferentially coated with green duftite on this showy and excellent specimen from the famous and now-closed Tsumeb Mine. The rose-brown tinting by the hematite and green duftite really adds character to this fine Tsumeb calcite. The large calcite is 2.5 cm. A trivial bit of edgewear is noted, but is a very modest detraction. Hematite and duftite combination tinting of this style of Tsumeb calcite disks is very uncommon. Ex Howard Belsky Collection..
