Calcite with Chrysocolla (rare location combo)

RARE and sculptural calcite and chrysocolla combination from this well-known New Jersey traprock basalt quarry. A striking, well-placed, 3.1 cm, rare style, two-toned doubly terminated calcite scalenohedron dramatically dominates the piece along with the vivid adjacent turquoise-blue chrysocolla. The translucent calcite has satin luster faces. Smaller calcites on the basalt are fine accessories. Some of the smaller calcites are broken or bruised, but have minimal impact to the overall high quality and rarity of the combination. The piece displays well without aid. Vivid pink LW UV calcite fluorescence.
