Calcite with Chalcopyrite, Sphalerite and Pyrite

Here is a showy, well composed and well balanced, two-sided piece from Dalnegorsk that is dominated by groups of pink Calcite discs embellished with tiny Pyrite crystals on one side and the converse side is dominated by Chalcopyrite and Sphalerite accented by pink Calcite! There are dozens of intergrown, translucent, light pink Calcite discs covering the one side dusted with numerous, sparkling, 0.5 mm Pyrite crystals providing great aesthetics. The same Calcites and Pyrites ring the periphery of the piece on the other side that is dominated by metallic, yellow-green Chalcopyrite crystals clustered abundantly at the interior and accompanied by several crystals of brown-black, lustrous Sphalerite crystals. It's a very handsome Dalnegorsk piece! Honestly it is easy to think, if you saw it on a contemporary shelf at a show, that is is Chinese....from modern finds. Nope! This is old material, 1980s-1990s, from Russia!
