Fascinating and sculptural large 360-degree calcite combination from the well-known Brushy Creek Mine of Missouri. This was a FAMOUS FIND OF THE LATE 1980S. - UNIQUE! Intermixed, iridescent, scintillating golden chalcopyrite and marcasite microcrystals preferentially cover part of both sides of the large early first generation calcite scalenohedron. Calcite resumed growing again in the form of the mottled, translucent gray crystals. The numerous, smaller secondary calcites on both sides are fine complements and a 3.7 cm doubly terminated calcite on one side is twinned. Complete all-around and pristine. The piece is from a famous large 1989 pocket find recovered from the large cavity system from a specimen mining venture. An impressive and excellent large classic calcite with sulfide accessories from the famous finds.
