Calcite with Chalcopyrite

Item Description

A rarely seen specimen of Calcite from the well known Dzhezkazgan Mine in Kazakhstan. The main Calcite crystal is a smoky-grey hue with a notable scalenohedral "phantom". The underlying matrix is composed of sharp, rich golden color metallic Chalcopyrite. A good piece for any Calcite collector, as they are nearly impossible to find from this locality.
