Item Description
A secondary coating of pearlescent baryte coats the prism faces of the sculptural, pagoda-like, stacked cluster of large, glassy, translucent, colorless, nailhead calcite rhombohedrons on this expressive and very uncommon style combination from this famous old Scottish locale. Complete all-around and nearly pristine. The bruise at the base reveals the underlying glassy calcite. The underlying calcite fluoresces hot pink under LW UV light. Ex Cynthia Payne Calcite Collection and valued by the former dealer Keith Williams at $695 over 7 years ago. Outstanding combination material from the locale.
