Item Description

An aesthetic and sculptural 360-degree cluster of calcite crystals from Tsumeb. The very glassy translucent rhombs, to 3.3 cm, have striking sharp tapered edges and are beautifully colored with a light iron oxide tint. Complete all-around and very nearly pristine, with only a couple of small bruises to rhomb edges and are mostly out-of-sight in nearly all of the many fine display views. Tsumeb is renowned for calcite quality and diversity and this is a fine example. Ex Willy Israel Collection of Belgium, a noted Tsumeb specialist. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON! A very glassy specimen.
