An outstanding and sculptural matrix calcite from Cave-in-Rock. The striking, unusual 3.7 cm amber rhomb is dramatically set on the sawed sculptural matrix. The glassy, translucent rhomb has both smooth prisms faces and fantastic stepped-growth faces, that really enhance the exceptional visual quality of this aesthetic piece from the Allen Dillwith Collection of Texas. The scattered small calcites and sphalerites on the matrix add pizzazz. And the rhomb GLOWS golden-yellow, when back lit. Classic and excellent Hardin County calcite.
