Item Description

A striking, sharp and pristine, 5.0 x 4.8 x 3.0 cm, glassy, transparent to translucent, hexagonal, nailhead calcite rhomb with modified edges and silky luster faces is very aesthetically set atop the sculptural small cabinet matrix. The preferential inclusions of tiny sparkly pyrite crystals in the termination faces are a dramatic accent to this very fine calcite from Chenzhou. These unique style calcites with oriented pyrite inclusions appear to be singular to Chenzhou localities and this is an outstanding 360-degree example. Neon-orange SW UV fluorescence.
