Calcite w/ Pyrite (fluorescent)

Item Description

Glittery, golden pyrite microcrystals preferentially sit on the three striking, intersecting densely stepped-growth edges of this impresssive, large, translucent, colorless calcite rhomb. These came from a small 2008 find and are much different than those of a larger find of disk shaped rhombs with pyrite on the edges. The presentation faces are nearly pristine, with only slight rubbing on one face. Periphery wear is noted, but these are certainly only modest detractions to this fine large rhomb. Large specimens of this variety have sold for a fortune. For the size, quality and aesthetics, we value this at $900-1200
