The extinct Au-Ag-Cu Red Dome open pit mine produced some of the world's finest cuprite specimens and some exceptional calcite specimens. This very fine example features a pristine, very glassy, 3.7 cm, sharply terminated scalenohedron with a nifty phantom of a brown metallic jauntily perched atop a heavily included calcite rhomb.
