Calcite w/ Marcasite (excellent)

Item Description

Marcasite coating lustrous, translucent, gray calcite scalenohedrons are a Brushy Creek Mine classic. This is a very fine and well-composed small cabinet of sparkly rust-red and metallic-gray, marcasite crystals preferentially coating the calcite crystals. The aesthetics of this complete all-around and pristine example are most excellent and the large vertical crystal is striking. This must have been a significant find, as the mine level and drift are listed: 1100 ft. level/106 drift.
