Item Description

A very rare, outstanding and striking calcite specimen from the Arbuckle Mountains of Oklahoma. The artistic cluster of glassy, transparent, calcite rhombs has striking phantoms formed by a rich speckling of variably-colored brown, hematite spheres! The impressive, well-placed, large rhomb at the crest is 2.6 cm on the diagonal and has a stunning phantom. The right edge of this rhomb is lightly bruised, but this is highly unusual, very rare and showy Oklahoma calcite. It looks like Tsumeb, but its not. Ex Allen Graffham Collection.
