Item Description

Egremont calcite specimens are an English classic and this is a very fine large example. Glassy, gemmy, colorless "nailhead" calcite rhombs to 4.0 cm comprise this aesthetic mounded plate. The band of hematite-included crystals running across the plate is a super and colorful accent. The interior is pristine. Old-time, highly desirable material, certainly dating to prior to World War I. Valued at $1250-1500.
