Item Description

A RARE calcite combination from this much less well-known Santa Eulalia District silver mine. Clusters of water-clear, terminated gypsum blades are dramatically and preferentially set on the tips of dogtooth calcite crystals. The calcites themselves, have a secondary calcite coating, that adds character. MINDAT does not list gypsum for this mine, making this possibly unique combination specimen. Choice and rare material from the Art Soregaroli Collection. His label says that these are quartz crystals, but this is very soft bladed gypsum.
