A striking and sculptural large laminated boxwork combination specimen from the famous Mina Ojuela. Glassy colorless dogtooth calcite crystals of various sizes line all three of the horizontal vugs in the sturdy gossan matrix. The rich green coatings of starkly contrasting sparkly spherical aggregates of conichalcite crystals really adds pizzazz and color to this artistic specimen. I really like the way the large calcites are hoizontal at the top! Probably older material, but no proof. An Ojuela classic combination. Ex Dr. Barratt Phillips Collection.
