Item Description

Cinnabar-included calcite specimens are very uncommon from the famous and exctinct mercury deposits at Terlingua. Most such specimens are dogtooth calcite scalenohedrons. This is very rare and showy small cabinet of sharp, lustrous, intergrown and translucent rhombs. The impresssive large rhomb is 5.0 cm and the rhombs have very nifty darker cinnabar edge phantoms. Exceptionally fine and rare older material from the Bruce Van Allen Collection and valued at $750.
