A spectacular and sculptural large matrix calcite specimen from the famous Sweetwater Mine. A striking, pristine, very gemmy, 9.2 cm, doubly terminated, straw-yellow crystal is dramatically set on the sliver of matrix. Smaller calcites (the underlying 6.4 cm crystal is also doubly terminated), the exotic stepped-growth faces to the calcites and the preferential rich dusting of sparkly tiny chalcopyrite sphenoids are super accents to this exceptional two-sided specimen from the George Feist Collection # 1864. Classic calcite valued at $800-1000 and worth it.
