Item Description
A striking, pristine, 10.5 cm terminated complex calcite crystal is aesthetically set on the sculptural matrix on this impressive large specimen from the famous Sweetwater Mine. The parallel-growth sidecar crystals dramatically accent this yellowish-gray translucent crystal with satin lustre faces. Backlighting reveals two sharp interior scalenohedral phantoms and the true yellowish-gray color of the calcite. The tiny beautifully bright iridescent chalcopyrite crystals on the partially brecciated limestone matrix add much character and color. A classic and excellent large 360-degree matrix calcite with phantoms and chalcopyrite from the Sweetwater Mine.
