Calcite w/ Chalcanthite coating

Specimens from this obscure French locality are seldom available. Highly complex, colorless, calcite rhombs are covered with blue-green chalcanthite on this striking large wedge. It originated with somebody with contacts at the mine, which is now not only defunct, but reclaimed and protected from further mining by the French government. This showpiece has shocking color.
